Armenia ready to transform from an attractive investment destination into an investment platform: Papoyan

On September 8, as part of the 15th Annual Investment Meeting being held in Dubai, Gevorg Papoyan participated in a ministerial roundtable discussion dedicated to investment. The Ministry reports that.

The minister addressed the priorities of Armenia’s industrial policy, emphasizing that over the coming decade, the focus will be on developing modern, highly productive industries, technological modernization, digitalization, and automation.

Gevorg Papoyan presented the key opportunities offered by Armenia’s investment environment, highlighting the importance of foreign direct investment in creating new production capacities, facilitating the transfer of technologies and knowledge, developing human capital, and integrating Armenian companies into global value chains.

“Armenia is ready to transform from an attractive investment destination into an investment platform by bringing together capital, technology, and human potential and creating products for regional and global markets,” the minister said in his remarks.

Among the major projects being implemented in Armenia’s artificial intelligence sector, Gevorg Papoyan highlighted the large-scale Firebird AI Factory technology project, which is being implemented in Armenia through cooperation between Firebird and NVIDIA.
